THE 5 MOST EXPENSIVE THINGS IN THE WORLD in 2020 (the last one will shock you!)

What would you buy if you woke up as the richest man in the world? An iconic building? Latest fancy car? Designer shoes... watch? A masterpiece by a famous painter? 

For the longest time I never understood why rich people fight for that last one😕... Maybe we'll discuss it someday, in a future post...

When I was a kid, everytime I was asked what I wanted to be, I would say, "To be the richest woman, married to the richest man"😅... I think that dream came true😜😂😂😂 ...or is coming true... However you choose to look at it😌... Only later, did I realize, one is 'supposed to' answer with things like: a doctor, architect, lawyer etc... Anyway... that then, is why I am always checking who the 2nd richest people😜 in the world are... Now that... You know😌😌...

So, this past Sunday, when my Pastor mentioned an expensive purchase in his sermon, he really got my attention – and I thought, wow, let me revisit what Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and the rest of that crew😉 trade in. And also compare that with what has been able to set another crew, my crew, apart from/above them😉 –  and thus, give us a come-up-hither-experience in our thinking of riches and wealth...

Before that, let's look at what makes a thing expensive to buy on earth.

There are three qualities that determine the price of any item:

1. Rarity: How rare/unique is the item?
2. Quality: Does the item have a high level of workmanship?
3. History: What meaning or significance  does the item carry or has it collected over the years?

If the said item scores really high in all the three aspects, voilà, it's a REALLY expensive purchase!

Now, onto the list: 

We'll start from the least expensive things so that they help expand our understanding of the 5th one listed here.

No. 5 most expensive thing on earth

An artwork😁: 

Leonardo da Vinci’s Salvator Mundi (Latin for Savior of the world😅)

Price –$450 million.

At first I thought this was another name for the Mona Lisa but it's actually a different painting...

Salvator Mundi is an antique oil painting from the Renaissance period and one of the most famous pieces Da Vinci ever created. In 2017, it was sold at an auction in New York to a Saudi Prince (with a very long name😅) at a bid of $450.3m who won the bid via telephone.

In 2018, it was supposed to be a part of an Abu Dhabi exhibit but it was pulled from the viewing without explanation and its whereabouts have since remained unknown.

A building😌: 

Antilia, Mumbai 

Price –$2 billion

This one had to make it on this list for obvious reasons.

Built in 2012 by the richest man in India, with a net worth $22.3 billion. It is 400,000 square-foot home in Mumbai. This business tycoon: Mukesh Ambani, his wife, and three children enjoy 27 floors of earthquake-proof luxury.

It is named after a mythical Atlantic island, “Antilia” has a 168-car garage, spa, temple, two-storey recording center, 50-person theater, three helipads, garden terraces, ballroom, and guest suites.

History Supreme Yacht 

Price –$4.8 billion

I hope you pronounced that word 'yacht' properly... The 'ch' is silent😌... why... I know😅😂...

The History Supreme Yacht currently claims the title for the most expensive thing in the world. The man behind this luxurious design of the 100-foot yacht is Stuart Hughes – who is also known for reinventing items like iPhones and cars by covering them generously with gold and the finest diamonds! As for the owner of this glorious yacht – Robert Kuok, Malaysia's wealthiest person.

The yacht is made of solid gold. It’s master bedroom has a wall made of meteorites and a statue made from the bones of a Tyrannosaurus😅. The master suite is adorned with a 68 kg, 24-carat gold Aquavista Panoramic Wall Aquarium and a liquor bottle featuring a rare 18.5-carat diamond...

A particle: 

Antimatter 

Price –$62.5 Trillion (per gram)

My first encounter with this particle was in Dan Brown's book: Angels and Demons. (Which I am not recommending😏)... And I was just awed😱 by it's properties...

Antimatter is a particle that can potentially give us unlimited energy. It can power anything from rockets to appliances. What makes it so expensive is the manufacturing process, which needs an entire facility to produce even one milligram of it. This costly material is so expensive that no one owns it… at least for now.

God's Artwork! (Haha... Not the website... Yes, now you guessed right: You the reader!) 

Price: $Everything He owned...Himself

Who He?

The History of God's Artwork is recorded in the journals of The richest being in the universe: God. These journals were compiled into a book called The Bible.

In journal entry Genesis 1:26, He Creates a work of art in his own image and likeness and names it man... In chapter 3 we see His enemy, in form of a serpent comes and corrupts that Artwork causing it  to fall. His Artwork gives himself to another owner😓... The first thing His enemy did was shutter the Artwork to pieces and cause the pieces to turn against reach other. And since God loved His Artwork so much, he had to buy him back whatever the cost:

For you know what was paid to set you free from the worthless manner of life handed down by your ancestors. It was not something that can be destroyed, such as silver or gold; it was the costly sacrifice of Christ, who was like a lamb without defect or flaw.

You were God’s expensive purchase, paid for with tears of blood, so by all means, then, use your body to bring glory to God!

Even after paying the price, And providing the Supreme Glue, God's enemy still tries to hold onto some pieces and even deceives the ones that have returned home, to turn against each other... The story of this Artwork though is quite interesting... It's ending is already known!

Despite the struggle, the rich man will get back most of His pieces and the ones His enemy goes with will actually be considered stolen pieces because those too were paid for... They just chose to believe the lie of the enemy... Yes, choice... The unique aspect that differentiates this Art piece from all others. It allows the Artwork to choose it's owner😅...
