STEPPING OUT OF THE BOAT III: God is typing… Don’t waste a minute!

Hello God’s Artwork!

As promised, here is my attempt at poetry, inspired by the verses Luke 1:26-38 and also what is happening in the Body of Christ not only in Kenya but all over the world:

Plans are being revealed, Purposes are being defined, Pursuits are being aligned. Most people I talk to tell me their visions are being made clearer, many are getting instructions on the direction to take in their careers and ministry; either now or when all this is over.

We may be in a very interesting period in history but Mary too was living in an interesting one when Angel Gabriel appeared to her:

         - The Romans were ruling their nation

       - The “Church” was quiet or should I say confused: There was now a new concept called Synagogues yet Solomon had left them with a Temple😅…

         - God had not spoken through any prophet in 400years since prophet Malachi… 

And then this Angel comes saying, “Rejoice, highly favored… blessed…???” When was the last time He had read the newspaper?!

I had warned you that I am quite new to poetry, and as one of you said, “I like to break the rules.” I am not even sure whether this is a poem or my own translation of a Bible text. I don’t know what category of writing this piece would fall under😅, but if there is one called SocialMedian poetry, then I guess this is it!

God is typing... (a Message translation😉)

Luke 1:26-28

In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to the Galilean village of Nazareth to a virgin engaged to be married to a man descended from David. His name was Joseph, and the virgin's name, Mary. Upon entering, Gabriel greeted her:

Good morning!

You're beautiful with God's beauty,

Beautiful inside and out!

God be with you.

Luke 1:26-28

In the 6th month of The CHURCH's pregnancy (VFC's, Phaneroo's, Approved Study…The Church in Kenya…), God sent the angel Gabriel to Juja, Kiambu County, to His Bride engaged to be married to a Man descended from David: The Son of David! His name was Jesus, and the bride's name, Yve Azar. Upon entering, Gabriel greeted her:

Good Evening!

Grace to you

You're beautiful with God's beauty,

Beautiful inside and out!

God is with you

And so you are anointed with great favor

Oookay, why are you greeting me like that, what is My love up to? Is it our wedding day?

Vs 29-33

She was thoroughly shaken, wondering what was behind a greeting like that. But the angel assured her, "Mary, you have nothing to fear. God has a surprise for you: You will become pregnant and give birth to a son and call his name Jesus.

He will be great,

be called 'Son of the Highest.'

The Lord God will give him

the throne of his father David;

He will rule Jacob's house forever—

no end, ever, to his kingdom."

Vs 29-33

I know you are shaking by now, wondering what is behind a greeting like that. But relax, rest!

"Yve Azar, my Love, you have nothing to fear. I have a surprise for you: You are pregnant with another brainchild still related to GOD’S ArTWORK but you will call him Axxxxxxx (to reveal later😉)

S/he will be great,

will be called 'can only be from God.'

will be so distinct in his sphere of influence.

will draw many to Christ because he will have lifted him.

will yield results of eternal value…"

Vs 34-35

Mary said to the angel, "But how? I've never slept with a man."

The angel answered,

The Holy Spirit will come upon you,

the power of the Highest hover over you;

Therefore, the child you bring to birth

will be called Holy, Son of God.

The word of God is my experience.

The Holy Spirit is in me and upon me

He is the power working in my life

Therefore,

Vs 36-37

And did you know that your cousin/relative Elizabeth conceived a son, old as she is? Everyone called her barren, and here she is six months pregnant! Nothing, you see, is impossible with God."

Vs 36-37

What’s more: Many of your sisters and brothers have conceived too, some even way before this period. Even many of those who had given up or been called ‘barren’, have conceived the Word. Shame is being taken way from the Church. There is a shaking and anything not of the Word is falling off… Not one promise from God is empty of power, for Nothing! Is! Impossible! With God!

Vs 38a

Yes, I see it all now,

This is amazing!

I will be a mother!

Of witty inventions!

I am the Lord’s servant,

Let it be with me just as you have said.

May everything you have told me come to pass…

Then the Angel left her… 

(But the Holy Spirit is still in her…)

God’s typing goes on to reveal that Mary did not waste a minute; verse 39. She got up and traveled to another County… Straight to Auntie Elizabeth’s house…

What has God been speaking to your heart during this season of lock downs? We may be on lock downs but let not your heart be locked down towards God. Take a pen, jot down those ideas, ask the Holy Spirit to tell you more where you have not fully grasped. And if He’s asked you to do something, don’t waste a minute.
